How Match My Cup Finds Your Best Matches
Short answer: we compare your taste quiz answers with each product's profile and rank by taste match first. Affiliate commission is not a scoring factor.
What we compare
- Flavor (the biggest factor)
- Roast or tea style
- Intensity
- Brewing method
- Caffeine
- Serving style
- Budget
How your three picks are chosen
- Must-fit filters first. We only consider products that work for how you brew and what you need — K-Cups for a Keurig, capsules for Nespresso, decaf if you asked for decaf, caffeine-free tea if you asked for that. Out-of-stock products are skipped.
- Ranked by taste match. Each remaining product is ranked by how closely its profile fits your answers.
- Three roles. The closest fit is your Best Match. A strong lower-priced fit becomes Best Value, and a close match that's a little different becomes Try Something New.
- Same answers, same picks. Your results are saved, so refreshing or sharing shows exactly the same three.
Our team can make small quality or freshness adjustments, but they can never lift a poor taste match above a great one.
What we don't do
Commission is never part of the ranking, and we don't publish made-up reviews, ratings or "bestseller" claims.

We compare your quiz answers with each product's flavor, roast or tea style, intensity, brewing method, caffeine, serving style and price, then rank products by how closely they match.
Does affiliate commission affect the ranking?
No. Commission is not a scoring factor. The matching system never reads commission data, and a product with no affiliate link can be your Best Match.
Will I get the same picks if I refresh?
Yes. Your results are saved, so refreshing or sharing your link shows the same three picks.
